Blog Faith Holy Week Purpose Transitions in life

When you’re at the almost “Ripe” time…

Hey, heyyyy there!!! I know that it has been a VERY long time since I have written a blog post. All I can say is BUT GOD… I will do a separate post about life updates at another time. You may have looked at the title a thought “hmmmm, what does that mean?” or “I know that the term ripe generally pertains to fruit being ready to consume because it’s considered to be a it’s peak or perfect state of being”.

Whether you had one of those thoughts or none at all, don’t you worry… I’m going to bless you the same way that God did when he placed this on my heart Monday to post today and the significance.

Holy Week background

As you may or may not know that in our Christian community, we are celebrating Holy Week which began on Sunday which was Palm Sunday. A very brief overview: Palm Sunday was when Jesus rode into the city Jerusalem on a colt from being away teaching and was met by the people of the town placing palm leaves and their garments on the road as he entered in. The people were shouting “Hosanna” for more details check out Mark 11:1-11.

Biblical number meanings/significance

Today is the 4th day of Holy week. The number 4 has played such an significant and pivotal role in my life. If you look up the Biblical meaning number 4 in the Hebrew Concordance, it means fruit. So as I sat in the number 4 and Holy Week connection, this is what came through…

There are 8 days of Holy Week which concludes on Resurrection Sunday. The number 8 Biblically means a new beginning. As Jesus resurrected on the 8th day of Holy Week, we are currently at the almost “ripe” or ready position of the prophecy being fulfilled. Now apply that information to where you are currently in your life. Are you at the “almost ripe time”, “ripe time”, “seedling time”, etc.?

Knowing your season matters

Whichever stage you are currently in, please know that God is right there with you and will use you at whatever stage you may think you’re in. Understanding your stage is vital to your calling plus not comparing or judging someone else’s progress in their stage of their process. Your “almost ripe season” can quickly turn into your “ripe aka harvest season” overnight. Allow God to complete the work in you at whatever stage that you’re in before you try and step out.

Does your life reflect the Fruit of the Spirit? Would people know and experience Jesus because of the encounter that they have with you?

Sit in those questions and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth. Here’s a deeper challenge, ask someone close to you their responses to those questions about you.

Now back to Holy Week…The preparation/midweek season plays a vital part of your story. This was just 2 days away from the greatest event in history and Jesus models to each of us how heavy the weight of each of callings can be and the toll that it can take on us. The most important action was the choice that Jesus made to become a sacrifice for each of us to pay a debt that no one could EVER repay due to the effects of sin and death. He understood His assignment and prepared the way for each of us to experience eternal life and freedom through Him.

This “midweek season” aka preparation season may feel extremely painful, lonely, trying, confusing, mixed with high notes of celebrations then met with low points of silence. Understanding your lane aka your assignment will not only help you to walk in Godfidence but to connect to the people who need to experience Jesus through you.

Don’t allow the thoughts of the midweek suffering throw you off track. Lock arms with those people who God has placed around you to walk alongside you as you enter into your mission field.

Jesus knew that on day 4, the agony and thoughts of what was to come would take a toll on him so he did what he knew would bring him the most comfort and that was to go and be away with his father in prayer and pour out his heart. Let’s follow after Jesus and do the same thing that he modeled to us as disciples of Christ at all times.

You can only know your assignment aka your lane when you are connected to The Vine. I am praying for each of you whether you are just entering into your planting the seed, experiencing your seedling sprouting, almost ripe or ready for harvest/ripe time, know that God is right here with you and will develop you into the person who He has created you to be.

The new beginning will be produced only through God which will bring forth something far greater than you can even fathom. There are many things that will need to be put to death (attitudes, pride, control, sinful habits, lies, gossip, secrets, jealously, insecurities, fear, doubt, etc.) bring those items on your list of things that need to die and allow God to heal you and to deliver you from those things. Let God be God and Watch Him Happen!

God is waiting at the tomb of your heart to resurrect you to live an abundant life in and through Him. He wants to blow your mind. I am living proof of that and I honestly still feel the best is yet to come.

I know that it may feel like you have nothing left in you or giving up but be reminded that in due season, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. Work your lane/mission field!

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9 NLT

As I close out this blog, I pray that Holy Spirit speaks to your heart and that you have an encounter with Jesus that will leave you speechless knowing how much God loves you and wants you to follow Him.

Enjoy the rest of Holy Week, Tribees!! Love ya’ll
