HEY HEYYYYYY…Come on in and make yourself right at home hun. I wanted to first personally welcome you to your own personal journey of becoming T.H.A.T. person God created you to be!! When I started my brand That’s Candyce on May 4th, 2020, the only thing that I was absolutely certain on was that I was on a unique journey that required me to accept and embrace who God created me to be and that I needed to share my story with the world.

But first let me put this out there honey… *DISCLAIMER* I have faced disappointment after disappointment, failure after failure in my life so I will NOT feed you fluff and all the gumdrops to make you feel like this is going to be an easy walk in the park. I am not trying to scare you off this soon on our new journey together, I am just being very transparent and honest with you. This is not an easy journey due to the fact that it can be extremely painful, lonely, uncertain, uncomfortable and requires a completely new mindset which will require you to unlearn quite a bit of learned behavior that has been passed down to you from generations before you. The beauty in all of this is that you have landed on this page for a MIGHTY reason and you may not realize it at this very moment, but the more you show-up for yourself, the more that you will discover the true power that its within you that MUST come out to bless this world. This journey will challenge every. single. ounce of your existence and character. So no need to feel alone, because you are not alone my friend. This community was tailor-made just for you and I to help one another along this becoming journey.

Why the name That’s Candyce?

As I was coming up with the name of my brand there were so many ideas that came to mind and “that’s Candyce” just kept coming up because my Godsister would always say when she saw or heard something quirky or silly etc., it would remind her of me. I then sat in that name and thought to myself, do I know who I am and who God created me to be. And the answer is, I do now. It has been a journey to get to this point and I wouldn’t change a single thing about my life because it has made me into the person that I am today. I want each of you to think about this for a moment… You want your name to be highly spoken of and your character to reflect the character of God, so when people are describing you, you want them to say “Oh, That’s [insert name] that you’re talking about.

I am going to focus on giving you insight on how to change your mindset around becoming T.H.A.T. person you were created to be. It all starts with your internal beliefs and honey let me tell you that I have overcome some serious low self-esteem issues and insecurities. I still battle with them but this time I know how to combat those feelings with the living truth and THAT is how we will all become T.H.A.T. person who you were created to be.

Nowwwwww to the fun facts about me:

I won’t share everything right now but I will give you just a few fun facts right now. I moved to New York on January 15, 2018 and had NO idea what God was going to do with my life. I was blessed with some amazing mind-blowing opportunities to be on sets of some of the top hit series around within the first month that I moved here. Even though acting and modeling was a newer hobby of mine, I was blessed with some of THE best acting and modeling coaches in the industry. I knew that I wasn’t passionate enough about it to make it my next full-time career choice and I also knew that this was the vehicle that God needed to use to get me here. Oh and did I mention that I didn’t have a job lined up either, found a place to live a week and a half before I moved here, barely had enough money to keep me for 3 months, talk about full trust and dependence on God.

I found this job coaching children’s gymnastics on an acting and modeling casting website and fell in love with it. I coached for 2 years until COVID-19 hit and forced me to make a decision to either return back to coaching or to completely surrender to God and enter into the life of Entrepreneurship, blogging, content creating and brand building. So as you can see… I chose to follow after the path of the unknown plan and so that’s why I am here today writing to you and helping you to break-free from those strongholds, toxic behaviors, self-doubt, insecurities, low self-esteem and so many other things that keep us stuck in our lives that prevent us from going after God’s best for our lives.
